A ballet is indeed a key event to entertain people
. Combined with art, it can deliver the ultimate essence of a play. A ballet especially of Ramayana will really entertain people. Ramayana is one of the renowned epics, the world has ever witnessed. Mythological sources portray it as a battle between good and evil. This battle was between lord Rama and Ravana to completely eradicate evil from its roots and establish goodness.Dasaratha who was the king of Ayodhya had two sons Rama and Lakshman. Rama was the elder son of king Dasaratha who fell in love with sita. Her astounding beauty blended with her calm nature made Rama choose Sita as his life partner. To marry Sita, Rama had to bend a bow. Rama was successful in his attempt and married Sita. Though the initial days of marriage were good, it did not last till the end. Dasaratha who was old decided to make Rama as his successor. Unfortunately, Ramas stepmother was not interested to enthrone Rama. She decided to make her son Bharatha as the king of Ayodhya. It was due to an oath, which Dasaratha made to her years ago, Rama was forced to live in forest for fourteen years.
Rama who was highly obedient to his father had no other option but to obey his words. In accordance to Dasarathas words Rama, sita and lakshman went to forest. They had a happy life in the beginning but it didnt lost long. Due to the mischievous activities of Soorpanaka, the sister of Ravana, Rama lost Sita. Soorpanaka in an intention to seduce Rama proposed him but lakshmana cuts her nose with his sword. Out of wrath, she complains to her brother Ravana. Using Ravanas weakness for beautiful women, Soorpanaka intentionally excites her brother telling about beautiful Sita So Ravana plans to abduct her.. The plan was executed successfully when both the brothers were sent away from Sita by the clever act of magical planning by Ravana.. Ravana abducts her and carries her to Lanka.
Rama in grief, started in search of Sita.In his search, he meets Hanuman,the general of a monkey band. Hanuman decides to help Rama find sita with the help of his community. Hanuman who has the power to fly meets Sita at Ravanas palace. He promises Sita to unite Sita and Rama. It was only after a long battle that lord Rama was able to defeat Ravana. Finally, lord Rama saved Sita.
The moral is to convey the importance of loyalty and celebrate the victory of it. The Ramayana Ballet shows this epic Ramayana as a drama on the stage, performed by qualified artists.
