If you are thinking about festival campervan hire, dont leave it too late its not uncommon for us to be sold out way in advance of festivals, especially larger ones like Glastonbury, Reading and The Big Chill. Anyway personally Im planning on taking a couple of weeks at Easter in Serre Chevalier in The French Alps a lovely area and a superb ski resort, its not as high profile as your Val dIsere or Tignes, but it does have some lovely tree lined runs and a huge 250km of piste to play with. Although there isnt a dedicated campsite right in the resort anymore during the ski season there are quite a few Aires de Service for motorhomes or camping cars as the french call them. My favourite is the tiny one down by the swimming pool in Briancon. You can finish a days skiing and then go for a quick swim and a shower before making your evening meal. After that we will probably head off to LEstartit on The Costa Brava to see some friends down there and then we will go further down to Camping Vinaros, which is just 2km over the Catalan/Valencia border. Then for the summer holidays we will probably go back to our favourite part of the UK, North Cornwall. We love that rugged coastline up by Trevose Head and there is tons to do up there. We got a bit unlucky with the weather last year, so we are hoping for some sunny British summer days this year.

If you would like to try a hiring a camper for a short period of time, you will be pleased to know that Motorholme now offer weekend motorhome rental too, but its a bit better than just a weekend as you can pick one up on Friday morning and drop it back on Monday afternoon, so you get a nice long weekend with Friday, Saturday and Sunday spent in the motorhome.
