Summer is beginning to wind down and fall is just around the corner. Along with football, apple cider and beautiful foliage, Halloween is one of the quintessential parts of the season. Who doesn't love dressing up as their favorite celebrity or ghastly ghoul and pretending to be someone else, if only for a night? Throwing a great Halloween party for your closest friends and family can be the perfect way to get into the spirit.
The first thing you'll want to do is send out appealing invitations. A good idea for your announcements is to select ones that contain classic pictures of the holiday. For example, invites that boast images of trick-or-treaters dressed like a police officer or a cowboy can be a wonderful choice. If you're looking to take things in a spookier direction, why not consider ones that have a photo of a jack-o-lantern with a fiendish grin carved in it?

For starters, you should set the atmosphere with midnight lace drape hung above the doorway. To match the drape, you should place a lace cloth over table as well. Once that is set up, take things a step further witha graveyard backdrop to really give your guest a fright. A clever way to add some ambiance would be to rent a smoke machine or some dry ice, as the mist it creates will be an ominous addition to the get-together. Purchasing a bunch of props can be a great way toreally add to the mood. Also, try to place a bunch of cut outs of some famous monsters, like Dracula, a zombie or a mummy. As a final touch, you can make your guests' heart skip a beat with a spiders toilet topper.
As for supplies, just like any other shindig, you're going to need a bunch of plates, napkins and cups. However, these should have a skull and crossbones on them as a way to celebrate All Hallow's Eve. You could also chose to use supplies that have a vampire, spiders or any other spooky creature on them. To keep drinks cold, an ordinary cooler simply will not suffice. Instead, try purchasing an inflatable skeleton cooler, which will not only serve an important function, but will look fantastic as well. There are also plenty of chilling extras that you can use to augment your monster bash. It just would not be Halloween without candy, so you should fill a skull-shaped pinata with everybody's favorites sweets and let your guests have at it with a wiffle bat and reap the rewards.
It may be only August, but it is never too early to start planning your Halloween party. October 31 is one of the few times everybody can let loose, so make sure to celebrate with those who mean the most to you - it will certainly be a blast!
