Obviously rock salt is the most common cure to this problem but there are other products that can quickly melt ice to make pathways safe to walk on again.
Wires and cables may be present in your workplace and can trail across walkways and can act as trip wires in your workplace, make sure all cables are kept out of the way or use cable runners to cover them so that pedestrians as well as wheeled objects such as pallet trucks or trolleys can safely pass over them.
It is worthwhile going round your premises to check for any potential hazards such as these to make sure your employees and your business in general are safe from harm.
