Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi
Sited in the centre of Abu Dhabi's Central Business District, adjacent to the stunning Shaikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), we at Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi are the ideal venue for your business meeting. Just a 5 minute drive away from Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), and15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, our extensive modern facilities attract both local and international delegates.
A centre for business and pleasure
Share: The glass faade and palm-fringed driveway of our 11-storey hotel is in perfect keeping with its surroundings. Abu Dhabi is thought of as a glittering modern conglomerate of tower blocks. However, the city has a history stretching back 3000 years, and beyond the high-rise architecture of man-made islands like Al Sowwah and Al Reem, there is a wealth of attractions to entice both the leisure guest and the business visitor.
Our rooftop pool gives superb views of the magnificent Grand Mosque, while the SKMC complex, adjacent to us at Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi, is a triumph of modern architecture. Its white crenulated walls emulate traditional styles seen elsewhere in the city, such as the fortresses of Al Maqtaa and Qasr al-Hosn. Other cultural attractions include Khalifa Park, the Heritage Village, and Al Ain where you'll find parks, museums and a zoo. Or visit the Camel Market for a unique view of traditional Arabian life.
Coastal attractions
Abu Dhabi is an island city, connected to the mainland via three bridges. We at Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi are just minutes from the fabulous Corniche, a palm-crested coastal boulevard of parks, gardens and fountains. Take time out for a stroll from the chic marina to Corniche Park, a pleasant leafy sanctuary with facilities for bird watching and fishing.
The city has 10 km of pristine silver beaches, but with 400 km of coastline to explore, why not take a coastal cruise on a traditional dhow? Corporate outings can be arranged from the passenger port, which is being developed into a major cruise hub by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. We at Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi are ideally sited for tourism events, with Abu Dhabi's prime business sites and leisure attractions on our doorstep, and a fabulous range of facilities within the hotel.
The islands of Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is surrounded by a number of other islands some man-made and some natural. Saadiyat , which connects to Abu Dhabi island via a 5-lane motorway bridge, will be the city's cultural hub by 2018. It will feature museums, art galleries and a branch of New York University. Al Reem is a thriving centre of business, leisure and commerce, with shopping malls, amusement parks, museums and an aquarium.
Futaisi is a privately owned, environmentally protected island rife with history and wildlife, and a popular tourist spot. Lulu, the closest island to us at Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi, is a beautiful man-made getaway with cafeterias, restaurants and beaches. It will soon be accessible via a tunnel and bridge.
