Sometimes, when employees experience unjust treatment from the management, they tend to lose motivation from work and eventually become unproductive in the company. As such, it is only appropriate that employees should be treated equally regardless of their position, race, or gender. The management should encourage flexibility among the workforce and apply firm rules only when applicable.
Another way to motivate your employees is by trying to get to know them better. Take some time to converse with them to get some insights about their lives and what motivates them. You may want to join them for lunch or ask light and casual questions and carefully listen to what they have to say. Aside from bringing camaraderie between you and the employees, you would get to know what might motivate them.
Most of the time, the implementation of rewarding an excellent performance clearly motivates your employees. Make sure that you give the appropriate recognition and reward when an employee has done something for the company that is worthy of commendation.
