World Travel Awards 2011 Honours Soneva Gili By Six Senses With Two Awards
Share: The World Travel Awards 2011 have honoured Soneva Gili by Six Senses with not one
, but two, prestigious awards at the recent gala ceremony held in SOHO Square, Egypt.
The luxury resort boasts private idyllic surroundings for travellers taking Maldives holidays and upscale accommodation comprising 45 spacious overwater villas on stilts.
The World Travel Awards are known within the travel industry as the Oscars of travel and tourism and this year, approximately 213,000 travel industry professionals took part in the voting process.
The WTA 2011 African and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony took place at the Egypt Hall in SOHO Square in Sharm el Sheikh on 16th September. Attendees of the event included government ministers, tourist board chiefs and travel company executives from all over the world.

The Maldives also won the 2011 World Travel Award for the Indian Oceans Leading Honeymoon Destination.
