The odds may really be against the Socceroos, but in the football world they are the last people to give up hope of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup knock-out stage.
Defender Craig Moore says "don't give up on us", who must miss the final group match, as well as striker Harry Kewell, against Serbia due to suspension.
A lot of things are seen in football.

Giving up going into that last game would be very un-Australian.
Captain Lucas Neill said "When you still believe there is always hope, and we still very much believe".
"We will fight on to the very end"
Kewell is another one who hasn't given up believing.
"We're still in with a chance" he claimed.
With some luck things will turn out better next time(facing Serbia)
You just never know.
Neill said he has witnessed enough evidence from playing both Germany and Ghana to know that the Germans were capable of beating Ghana.
On Wednesday (Thursday AEST), this is one of the two situations the Socceroos must wish for - apart from defeating Serbia.
The other way is for Germany to be defeated by Ghana by any margin.
Neill said "There are still two ways we can qualify"
"We are hoping Germany will go up against Ghana in the same way they did us and then maybe win two or three-nil.
"And then if we start scoring against Serbia, and they start pushing up, there might be an opportunity for us to get a second of perhaps more.
Neill was very pleased the fighting spirit his 10-man team displayed in the 1-1 draw with Ghana, and particularly after being heavily defeated by Germany 4-0.
He said "There is no more i could have asked for"
"It was very much was the definition of what it means to be Australian"
"We put it on the line, and we were ready for it".
"We found that important energy that had not been there for a few games, and we became a family again".
"We are still here"
"We haven't given up on ourselves so the nation should not give up on us"
