Winter Wedding Planning Tips - How To Plan For An Unforgettable Winter Wedding

Planning a winter wedding can be one of the most exciting moments of your life!

The idea of planning a winter wedding is gaining popularity across the globe. You can really expand your creativity in new and fresh exciting ways if you are planning a winter wedding. As someone who got married in January, I can honestly tell you it was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. We were able to have our own special day that did not conflict with a bunch of other events. The middle of January is a slow social time for most people, so it worked great for us.

I want to give you some ideas of things to think about as you approach your special day. There are many ways you could make your wedding stand out from all of your friends. If you live in a snowy climate, you could have your wedding outside in January! Think about how beautiful it would be to have a wedding outside when snow is on the ground and the trees are decorated with snow. You would have to have a warm wedding dress to have your wedding at this time of year, but I think this is something you could consider doing if you love the snow.

If you have your wedding indoors, you can decorate the chapel or facilities where you get married in winter colors. You can decorate the rooms with Christmas lights if you are getting married in December. You can decorate the chapel with candles no matter what time of the winter you are getting married. You can use snow flakes or white colors, or you can use other colors for the chapel.

Many people do not like winter, so you could even decorate your reception hall with summer colors. Make it easy for people to relax at your wedding reception. Make sure that you have dinner prepared for your guests unless you are having an early afternoon wedding. You can serve dinner anytime of the day, but it is expected to be served if you have an evening wedding or late afternoon wedding.

You could transport everyone to the wedding in four wheel drive vehicles if the weather is bad. You simply could communicate in your wedding invitations that due to the weather conditions in winter, everyone will have the opportunity to carpool to the wedding. You would want to reserve rooms for guests at a hotel that is close to the chapel and close to the reception hall so that people could still travel back and forth if the weather is an issue. You might even want to reserve extra rooms near the hotel for local guests so that if the weather becomes an issue right before the wedding, your family and friends can stay in the hotels close to the wedding site.

These are just some of the many great winter wedding ideas I have. It would take a book for me to include all of your ideas, and I share those ideas in my book. It can be difficult to stay organized when planning a wedding, so you want to make sure you have a way to stay organized as you plan the biggest day of your life!
