Too many people saying too many different things. Once you start something and begin to make progress, someone else comes along selling something that is supposed to be easier and quicker.
Not sticking to something for long enough
With all the ways to make money online at your disposal, it is very difficult to stick to one thing and not get distracted. It seems like a good idea to learn as much as you can to generate traffic and revenue online.
But this is the wrong approach, why? Because, to get good at anything requires consistent action to make it work.
One of the best pieces of advice i was ever given was to find just one way of generating traffic and one way of generating sales and stick to those. And to keep working at them for as long as it takes to get good at them. And then (and only then) move on to the next thing.
Not taking enough action
Again this is because of the lack of focus on one or two things. Trying to do many projects at once means you get little done on each one. Start and finish one project at a time.
Lack of motivation
This can be from the lack of faith in your system working. You may have seen it all before... when a program offers overnight riches and fails in delivering. The above factors which lead to little or no results can also kill your motivation.
How can you overcome these obstacles?
Find a proven system for generating traffic and sales and stick to it. Keep your eyes and ears open. See what other internet marketers are doing on a consistent basis and copy them.
Which traffic generation method would i use?
There are many effective methods to choose from. Some of these are Pay-Per-Click Advertising, Blog marketing, Video Marketing and Social Media marketing.
Personally, I would use article marketing. Why? It is a proven method for generating traffic long term to your website or blog. But what if you dont like writing? No problem, you can hire freelance writers cheap through sites such as Guru.com.
How would i generate sales?
I would send this traffic to a blog that features your product or services for sale. If you dont have your own product, you can feature other peoples products on your site and get paid a commission each time someone buys. This is known as affiliate marketing.
You can also build an email list from your traffic. How? You get people to subscribe to your list in exchange for a free report or ebook. This way you can keep promoting to them long term. This is HIGHLY recommended.
