From the point of view of Islamic faith, the Dome of the Rock is significant as it contains the footprints of its founder- Prophet Muhammad.
Besides the above mentioned spots which are located in Jerusalem's Old City, the bottom of the Temple Mount leads to the historic Western Wall, which is an important Judaic religious place. It attracts Jews who gather there to worship, pray, contemplate and wish.
