Silver is real money. Many individuals do not have that idea but the truth is that silver is priceless. What most people consider real money has no innate value. In fact, toilet papers are more valuable than these items. Because the government demands us to use them via legal tender laws, these stuffs seem valuable to many. But it is not. Share:
Silver is Unprintable By The Federal Reserve
While it's true the US Treasury does mint silver coins they can't do it anywhere near the rate that they can create new dollars. Now that we live in a computerized age the monetary supply can be extended with a computer entry instead of having to start up the printing press which allows the monetary supply to increase just that much faster.
When the Federal Reserve creates more money the money you have in your savings bank looses value. This happens because when the monetary supply increases the amount of goods and services don't increase. The price of those goods and services has to go up when more dollars are chasing the same amount of goods and services. Since the Federal Reserve can't produce silver like it does paper money and so they can't devalue silver like they do the US Dollar, it is a wise decision to buy silver.
Gold is More Costly Than Silver
I have read that gold is eight times more scarce than silver contrary to what others say that silver is more hard to find than gold. At the moment, between silver and gold, the price ratio is about 60 to 1. Put simply, the cost of 60 ounces of silver is equal to one ounce of gold. Some may conclude that silver is undervalued at the moment. The lower nominal price makes trading easier for the average Joe as well.
You Have Something of Real Value Just in Case
What I mean by this is if and when hyperinflation ever occurs you will have a real store of value. This is not to frighten you so you will not acquire silver. However, that can happen any time. I personally don't agree with his evaluation but internationally renowned investor Marc Faber believes it is a 100% certainty that the US will encounter hyperinflation.
As a judicious add-on to your portfolio, take into account buying silver bullion even if you don't believe hyperinflation will ever happen. Definitely, the best price online is American Precious Metals Exchange.
