The ancient Celtic people believed that the spirits could corrupt their souls so they made sure to wear costumes that would scare the spirits back into the netherworld.

Many customs have changed since the Celtic tribes celebrated Halloween especially in the United States. However, one thing remains the same and that is dressing up on Halloween. Halloween costumes are typically monsters, ghosts or celebrities. Starting in late September, Halloween costume shopping begins throughout the United States.

Finding the right costume is a fun and exciting part of Halloween. Good Halloween costume ideas or dressing up as Dracula, Frankenstein, a mummy, a werewolf or a zombie covered in blood. It is a good idea to accentuate your costume by adding blood, fangs or putting prosthetic wounds and cuts on the costume. Another good idea for a Halloween costume is to dress up as a historical figure, such as John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, King Arthur, Al Capone or Cleopatra

Young children will dress up in a scary or fun costume and go around trick-or-treating in their local neighborhoods. Young adults will dress up to attend parties for school dances. Costumes are also popular at attractions such as haunted houses and haunted hayrides. Haunted houses and haunted hayrides will feature people dressed up as scary monsters that try to spook you around every turn.

Searching the internet is a great way to find costumes for Halloween. Especially unique and scary costumes. Finding the right Halloween costume is an important and fun adventure. It is recommended to add blood or fake hair to fully complete the transformation to a monster on Halloween.
