Thailand Dental Care At Bangkok Hospital In Phuket
One of the most well known and accomplished hospitals in Thailand is the Phuket Bangkok Hospital
. When this hospital opened its doors in 1995, it opened its doors to more than just cheap health care. This hospital opened the city of Phuket to dental tourism.
Bangkok Hospital does not simply limit its services to health care but is also one of the leaders in the dental field of Southeast Asia. They currently staff hundreds of nurses and doctors to help you with any medical propose.
With their focus in the dental field, Phuket's Bangkok Hospital is internationally accredited through a non profit organization, the Joint Commission International (PCI). This well known accreditation service has awarded its certification to this hospital.
If you are considering Phuket for your Thai Dental Holiday, I highly recommend this place. I have personally been there and was with my girlfriend every step of the way for her dental procedure.
We traveled from Australia to Phuket to have some dental work done for her. Her procedure was consider cosmetic and would not be covered by our insurance. We had the choice to max out our credit cards or try this new thing called dental tourism. We chose dental tourism and the Bangkok Hospital in Phuket.
We chose this location for a variety of reasons. First of all, we wanted a facility that offered all the technology we would have in Australia. Outside of the staff being Thai, this hospital would have fit in perfectly in any western country.
The staff was friendly and assisted with any questions or concerns we had. They remember our names and smiled whenever they saw us. We both felt very comfortable inside this hospital.
This hospital had some great relationships with the top hotels and resorts on Phuket. Through contacting them, they provided me with recommendations for lodging and got me in touch with local travel agencies. This was a big help in deciding where to stay.
Although we went for pretty serious dental work, they also offer dental services from teeth whitening to root canals at nearly a quarter of the cost it would be in Australia.
This Bangkok Hospital is located in Phuket, the largest island in Thailand. Before we chose this hospital, we knew that Phuket was where we wanted to go. We've both been talking about taking a vacation to a tropical island for quite some time. Now we finally did it. This wasn't just going to be a quick couple day dental trip and head back. We were using this as an excuse to go see Thailand.
Phuket has the big city feel as well as some nice beaches. After a couple days of recovery time, we travel the beautiful local islands. With a one hour boat ride you can see some of the most beautiful islands on this side of the world. Islands where they filmed an old James Bond movie and the more recent movie, "The Beach".
Between the location of this hospital and the hospital itself, the decision was pretty easy. For those of you not familiar with the hospitals in Bangkok, the Bangkok Hospital network offers some of the best hospitals throughout Thailand. You can find this brand in every major city in Thailand, ranging from Koh Samui to Bangkok itself.
When returning home, I was often asked about the trip. They asked me if it was worth it and my answer is always the same:
"Between the great medical care, friendly staff, and the incredible vacation. It was one of the best experiences I've had in the last few years."
