I experience a lot of people who enjoy online poker, several for fun, and some seriously and then those who play for a lifestyle. I personally had my moderate games of online gambling fun. Losing, and winning tournaments, efforts bubbled in others with the ups and downs that are gambling. Though I haven't been playing in a while at all as activity and partying have been my primaries in life enjoyment.
Even though some people gambling for fun, South Africa has imposed a new law that states you can get a 10 year jail sentence or a R10 million rand fine for online gambling. These Politian's are out of their minds. There are major criminals who escape the clutches of the law every day, but they want to eliminate all gamblers for making some cash or trying to sort out whatever money problems they have. No one has a problem with gambling if it's done right, it's a game it should be enjoyed. I do understand the dangers it brings and what not but there is also a fun cut to gambling gaming. Sometimes you don't feel for the experience of land base gambling when you can sit at your pozzi, log into the internet and have some fun in an online casino.
South Africa should be looking at the bigger picture and not only online gambling because gamblers are going to keep gambling no matter what the law or the circumstances. Currently many casino's are fighting against the ban but no there is no clear indication what the outcomes of these protest will be.
