Shillong Peak: It is an ideal picnic spot. It is located at a distance of about 10 kilometers from the main city. It is located at an altitude of 1965 m.
Wards Lake: It is a beautiful lake which is covered with different and beautiful flowers, plants and trees. It is located in the heart of the city. This spot is very popular for short garden walks and boating.
Botanical Garden: It is famous by the name of Lady Hydari Park. It is a perfect landscape and ablaze with roses and flowers of almost every variety.

Golf Club: It is developed in 1889 as a nine holes course later in 1924 which was converted to an 18 holes course. It is termed as 'Gleneagle of the East', at the United States Golf Association Library and Museum.
