Providing A Warm And Relaxing Atmosphere With Candle Globes
I don't know about you, but I'm not really up with all of this modern stuff
. Sometimes it seems like we take steps backwards rather than forwards. For instance I had a lighting problem the other day and someone suggested that I went out and purchased some candle globes. Now forgive me for saying this and looking slightly stupid, but when this person first suggested this to me I had no idea what candle globes were.My second question to them was why should I go out and purchase candle globes when I could illuminate my room with light bulbs instead. Obviously then my friend decided to enlighten me on the error of my ways, explaining that using a light bulb actually uses a lot of power and that the power has to come from somewhere, that somewhere is usually a power station and then we are damaging the environment.
I then pointed out to them that burning a candle surely gives off fumes and heat and this is not necessarily good for the environment either. They admitted that there were still implications to burning candles, but that those implications were far less than that of using a light bulb. Of course you can get low energy light bulbs these days but generally these are extremely expensive to purchase.
The final reason that my friend offered to me was more of a sensual reason. They said that lighting candle globes would not only help to provide the room with a nice smell, it would also provide a very romantic atmosphere for the room. In the end I caved in and decided to purchase some of these candle globes, I always think that you should criticise something unless you have tried it.
I dotted some of them around the house and decided I would live the evenings by candle light. It is amazing what a difference it makes to your outlook on things. Suddenly the room become much left of a harsh place illuminated by bright lights and harsh edges, it seemed as though the room suddenly became alive with the flame light flickering off the walls and also it provided a warm and comfortable feeling or security. It was amazing at home just simple tasks like listening to some music or watching a favourite television show took on a whole new meaning with just a few candles in the room.
So it seems that my friend wasn't wrong after all and now I'm preaching the benefits of having candles in your home.
