Online Quick Cash: Without The Problems
Share: Borrowing from quick loan sites online in just the last 10 years alone is becoming the most popular way of borrowing today
. Quite simply more people than ever are going online to do it, and at the same time, there are more people who have continually discovered this new option. So as a result of rising demand, increasingly more sites continue to be launched, to the point where today there are more payday lending venues than there are McDonald's and Burger King restaurants in the US.
Yet even in spite of this unprecedented popularity, lawmakers in states across the US have been proposing and enacting more rules and regulations to make it difficult, not just for the lenders but also for the borrowers, as well. In fact in six states in the US they decided to make it as difficult as they can by completely banning payday lending sides inside their borders. So then why do they say that they're doing it?
When they're pressed to discuss the topic, what they generally claim as they're working to protect the most vulnerable of their constituents. Drug addicts for instance who find themselves in financial straits after borrowing from loan sites to support their habits. Not only are they finding themselves in deep debt from the loan but their drug use also commonly leads to them losing their jobs, as well.
Then of course there's the growing numbers of households that have been affected by the ongoing recession. Households that at the end of the month all too often are finding that they have to borrow the money to pay their electrical bills which leads them further into debt. So what's the politicians solution? It's easy! Ban the lending sites and let these folks power get turned off. Then at least you don't have to worry about paying back the money.
Then there are the tough on crime lawmakers who will tell you that payday lending sides are attracting too many criminals who specialize in lending fraud. No, they are not talking about the sites themselves either. What they're referring to, is people find the anonymity of the Internet, and the speed at which these loan applications get processed too much to resist. They're altering documents or using fake papers altogether to commit loan fraud and identity theft.
Police departments are just too busy today writing seat belt and parking tickets to generate money for their local governments to fight crime actually. So the solution is simple here. If a bank keeps getting robbed, rather than going out and looking for the bank robbers "which is a heck of a lot of work", simply close up the bank, and the problem is solved. Now, if this doesn't make a lot of sense to you, it's probably because you're not a politician.
