DELTRON INC (OTC BB: DTRO.OB)
Deltron Inc., (DTRO.OB) makes sure that the wheel always turns and that it does so smoothly, too.
Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Elasco Inc., a profitable engineering and plastics design, molding and manufacturing company, has been selected to provide high end polyurethane wheels to Matthews Studio Equipment, Inc.,a leading global supplier of lighting and camera equipment for motion picture, television, photographic and theatrical production. When Matthews experienced a vibration in its dollies that carry film cameras across segmented tracks, which was thought to be due to a condition called compression set, Deltron Elasco was able to create a proprietary polyurethane formulation and wheel design strong enough to prevent compression set and absorb any shocks, enabling the dolly to roll smoothly.
The new high performance wheels can also withstand heat, weight, weather and other extreme film set conditions. Elasco can produce up to 6,000 pounds of polyurethane a day.
Henry Larrucea, Deltron CEO, commented: Being selected as the vendor of choice by a company known in the entertainment industry for its high quality equipment is extremely gratifying. Matthews presented us with a very rigorous set of specifications and we were able to design and produce new wheels that meet their needs. At Deltron, we are proud of our engineering, formulation and manufacturing capabilities and excited to have access to a new market for our products.
Deltron acquires profitable businesses with strong management teams, substantial revenue and established market positions. Wholly owned Elasco is a proven innovator in product manufacturing with a 30-year operating history, diverse customer base and vertically integrated manufacturing facility in Garden Grove, California.
At Deltron (DTRO.OB), the wheels of progress never stop they just keep rolling more efficiently.
And so it goes with the proprietary polyurethane wheels Deltron's wholly owned subsidiary Elasco Inc. has created for Matthews Studio Equipment in Burbank, California. Matthews, a global company, that provides lighting and camera equipment for the movie and entertainment industry in 60 countries, was experiencing a vibration in its dollies that carries film cameras across segmented tracks that could potentially affect picture quality. Elasco was able to create a special polyurethane formulation and a strong wheel design to solve the issue. Matthews has selected Elasco to provide it with high-end polyurethane wheels for all its dollies.
Elasco products are made from the company's proprietary polyurethane blends developed by Elasco urethane chemists. The company generates substantial revenue from a diverse product offering and sees opportunities to increase production and revenue this year.
"Our customers are seeing a resurgence in demand after a difficult period with especially strong increase in our Roller Skating business driven by the increased explosion in Roller Derby leagues across the country," says Henry Larrucea, Elasco founder and CEO / President.
