Making Money Online Isn't That Hard - You Just Have To Get Off The "Hamster Wheel"

Copyright (c) 2010 Ed CorcoranIf you've been trying to make money online, but haven't been making much progress, I feel your pain. It can be confusing, frustrating and downright discouraging. It took me so long to start making any real money online, I didn't think I was ever going to be successful at it. But once I came to realize what I was doing wrong, things got a whole lot easier.The first thing that you should come to terms with is; much like in the "real" world, there is no such thing as "easy money". Ok, so making a living with your computer may be physically easier than construction work, or firefighting, but it still requires time and effort on your part. Anybody who claims that their program, or product will enable you to instantly make thousands of dollars a day with the push of a button is being less than honest with you. Nothing is that easy.... Except, maybe the lottery.You shouldn't worry, though. You don't have to be a computer genius, or have a degree. You don't even have to be that tech savvy (I'm living proof of that!). But it can be so easy to get overwhelmed by the constant stream of products, methods and techniques. When I first started out, I chased every shiny new product, and every new "secret technique" or "loophole" that showed up in my inbox. And it only made me more confused than I was when I started!I've also signed up for numerous training programs that promised the big money and fabulous prizes, only to realize that they were far more interested in selling me more products than actually TRAINING me to do anything. They would tell me WHAT to do, but weren't so great at explaining HOW to do it. All the while, they bombard you with a non-stop volley of products (that you just can't live without!) until I was so overwhelmed, I felt like throwing my computer out the window!I was on the proverbial "hamster wheel", as they say in the internet marketing game. You keep buying products, and taking courses that promise to EXPLODE your online business, and each time, you're sure that this investment is finally going to be THE ONE that gives you what you need to push you over the top!But after a while, you start to notice that that you're not going anywhere... And all the flashy new products start looking like the flashy old products that you bought LAST year... And STILL you have absolutely no clue what you're doing! I lost count of how many times I threw in the towel, angry and frustrated, only to jump right back into the vicious cycle a week or two later.Eventually, I realized what I was doing wrong. I wasn't following through with anything! I was just jumping from one "golden opportunity" to another, without actually finishing a single thing. No wonder I was confused! I was already drowning information, and I kept chasing more, hoping for that elusive "magic formula" that would open all the doors for me.But I already had all the knowledge that I needed to be a successful internet marketer. I just needed to take that knowledge and DO something with it! I stopped chasing after every gimmick that came down the street and committed myself to putting the knowledge I already had to work for me. I found a few good digital products with private label rights that I could sell as my own, and the rest was history. Now I'm a full-time internet marketer, and I only get confused when I try to make sense of my girlfriend.But that's a whole other subject!
