It surprises me why so many people learn Spanish the difficult way in that they use the old school method of traditional classes
. The sad thing about all of this is the dropout level is very high due to the frustration level of not being able to be getting anywhere with learning Spanish. Surely there has to be a better way.
First of all let's look at the one major benefit of traditional style lessons. The major benefit is that you have a teacher you can correct your pronunciation and this is a very big plus that you don't get from online lessons. However if you have Spanish speaking friends I am sure they would correct you if you got your pronunciation wrong.
Next let's take a look at the drawbacks of the old style lessons. The first reason being cost. Probably the most expensive way of learning Spanish. The second and for me the most important is that you just move at the pace of the slowest learner and if that's, you then maybe it's not a drawback for you. However you're playing catch up and everyone wants to move faster and eventually you will be left behind and quit that particular course.
So why don't the English learn Spanish the easy way which is obviously through either an online course or though a CD interactive course or in some cases both combined into one course. This really is so much better and deals with the issue of not being left behind or having somebody holding you back in that you move at your own pace and don't get frustrated.
So in conclusion for the best way for people to learn Spanish is through modern advanced learning programs with a little help practicing the language with there Spanish speaking friends it makes so much better sense.
