One thing that precludes some from venturing into sailing courses is their time constraints. As much as they seriously would like to become a day skipper, they just do not have the free schedule required in order to complete the material. Or do they? Honestly, you might find your ability to take part in RYA courses is increased if you opt to explore proper time and schedule management solutions. You would be surprised how much free time you actually have to take part in these courses provided you took a step back and seriously examined the availability of your free time.
This does not mean that you would be able to take sailing courses at odd hours of the evening. That just would not be realistic. Rather, the option that is available to those with limited time availability is often the process of taking part in staggered classes. In other words, rather than take a class five days in a row, you could take the class five Saturdays in row. For those that might not be able to commit to five Saturdays, there may be the potential to take five classes at whatever five free days you have available in a six month period.
Not everyone has the availability to enroll in sailing courses that are structured in terms of their class schedule. As such, there is a great of flexibility open to those wishing to enroll but might not have the luxury of knowing how their schedule will run. So, exploring options with staggered course schedules is recommended.
