There is a dream that many of us have. We want to be our own boss. We see the possibility of big money, and a work schedule that we can set to our own liking. But it does not always work out that way. The best definition I ever heard about being self employed was that you can work any twelve hours of the day you want.
It takes a different mentality to be your own boss, especially if you have employees. It takes a lot of capital to get certain businesses started. While there is the possibility of making big bucks, there is also the possibility of losing everything that you have.
There is a really easy solution to this. You can start a home business with very little money at all. Do you have a computer? Do you have an empty spot in your house? If you do not have a computer, getting one and an internet connection is a cheap way to start a business.
My mentality on the Internet is different than most because I was self employed in the building business in the offline world. When I finished a job, I was out of work unless I had another job lined up. It was a very stressful environment.

Examine your skills, and evaluate what you do best. Do you have computer skills? Can you build a website? It is not necessary, but it will help. There is so much information on the Internet about affiliate marketing that with a little effort you can learn whatever you need to know.
Are you really tired of your job, and would you like to try changing your life by working for yourself? No one else is going to do it for you. Only you can follow your own dreams. Affiliate marketing is the least expensive way to try building your own business.
This is what the Internet is to me, a foundation in the ground and a lot of lumber just sitting there waiting for someone to come and start building. The opportunity to start building is there for everyone. But you have to start.
