Important Statistics In Your Email Internet Marketing Campaign

Important Statistics In Your Email Internet Marketing Campaign

Before you start any email campaign to promote your products or services

, there are different statistics you should be aware of. It is important that you know the difference between each of these statistics. You should track your email campaigns to compare the results to make improvements on your campaigns. You should also determine which of these statistics are the most accurate to use with your email campaigns.

The first type of statistic is the open rate. This is the number of people who have opened your email. While this statistic may be useful, it will not always be 100% correct for the following reason. The open rate is normally measured using an HTML img tag that is embedded in your emails. If your subscriber has their images turned off and opens your email, it will not be counted in your open rate.

The second statistic is the click through rate. This is also referred to as the CTR. This is one of the most valuable statistics for your email campaign. This statistic tells you how many people have clicked on your links in your email. You can use this statistic to compare how effective the call to action in your emails is.

The third statistic is the number of bounces. A bounce is when an email was sent to a subscriber on your list and it was returned undeliverable. This could result from an incorrect address, the subscribers inbox being full or an email address that is no longer in use.

The fourth statistic is the conversion rate. This is when the subscriber has clicked on your link and completed the action you wanted them to take. For example, they could have clicked on your link and purchased a product or became a lead to what you were promoting.

The last statistic is the forwards. What this means is the amount of times your subscribers forwarded your email to someone else. When you see that you are generating forwards, this means that you are providing emails with information that people think are useful.

With having knowledge of these five different statistics, you should be able to look at the results of your campaigns and know what to do next to improve your next email campaigns.
