? It takes time and perseverance to work through and build up enough trust with people. Try some of these and observe the effect.1 Join their social sites. That is, find out which social websites your subscribers and customers are on and join up. Once you've given yourself a presence there, let them know you're available to contact and communicate with. Solve and discuss problems with them to show you're always ready, and in the right place, to help them.
2 Get to those longtail niches. If you're in a niche, see how deep you can drill down to an even narrower but profitable market. For example, don't just sell stuff about cats but specialised household cats that never go outside.
3 Tell people what you're doing. They like to be able to see into your business, once they recognize you as valuable. Let them know about your latest projects and perhaps, even, stuff that hasn't worked so well so far. Let them see you moving constantly forward so you're taking them with you in your business development.
4 Tell them your story. Part of the last point is to let them know your story about how you got to where you are and possible future developments. This helps people to identify with you and gives inspiration as to what can be done.
5 Have a point of view. This might be about the type of business you're in or about internet marketing itself. Your view must be clear and not just following what everybody else says and does. You need to be an authority for something which is unique to you while helping others to be successful in the context of the internet they're operating in.
