Cottage holidays can be a great way to stay on the outskirts of a big city and enjoy both the city itself and the surrounding areas, perfect for those who like to discover new things such as nature reserves and National Trust properties but still want the urban buzz. If there are a group of you then renting a cottage can be a cheap option either for a long weekend or a whole week and as long as you remember that nothings provided on this sort of holiday youll have a great time. This is the downside of course, that theres no onsite restaurant or reception service, youre left to fend for yourself so dont forget your towel and your hamper full of food!
Hotel break - the choices are almost endless when you opt for a hotel break, you can choose from UK city breaks, country breaks, breaks abroad, luxury, budget, all inclusive, bed and breakfast only, dinner included, double, single, twin, facilities, no facilities and so on, its a big world out there. There are advantages and disadvantages to this, the major disadvantage being that trawling through the endless options could potentially ruin the excitement of booking your holiday because it can really drag if you dont narrow it down quickly. On the other hand, the advantage is massive, literally whatever you want, whatever you like and whatever youre into, is available, want something? Therell be a hotel for that. Hotels are everywhere and theyre all manned for 24 hours a day which means if you get peckish at three oclock in the morning, you can order a cheese sandwich or if youve forgotten to iron your shirt then you can borrow an ironing board and an iron.
