Good American Doctors Who Have Obtained Nobel Peace Recognitions

There are quite a few well known American doctors
. These doctors are not only famous for their great skills with patient care but also with the discoveries that they have made in the field of medicines. Many of these great American doctors have also gone on to win the Noble prize for their work in medical science.
Here we can see a few of those doctors:
We will start with the prominent Charles Horace Mayo who among other things was a founding member of the globally famous mayo clinic. This clinic has a world wide reputation for its non-profit related works in medical science.
It is thought the Charles Mayo treated almost 1 million people in his life as a doctor. Rochester, Minnesota is where you can find the location of the Mayo clinic headquarters.
Charles eldest child also went on to become a founder member of this clinic too. After finishing his own medical studies in the 1880's he started working for his father at his clinic before it later transformed into the Mayo clinic. His name was William James Mayo.
Then there was the great Physician and father of modern medicines the famous William Osler Abbot, who along with other things is remembered for his Miller Abbott tube.
Benjamin Spock is another great American doctor. This well known doctor, and author of the Baby and childcare book published in 1946, was well renowned for his treatment in child care. He did a lot of intensive studying on the subject and went on to pen the term of psychoanalysis.
The cure for Polio was found by one Jonas Salk who was in fact the son of immigrant Jewish/Russian parentage. He later went on to study and research many other viruses too.
Lastly there was Elliot P Joslin who was well known for his study of diabetes. He formed the self help diabetes program in which he used to inform his patients about his knowledge of the disease. He later went on to form the famous Joslin Diabetes Center.
