Glee Tour Tickets - 'glee' Takes Madonna To No. 1 On Charts

, and the song-and-dance television phenomenon Glee is to thank for all the musical excitement. Glee has been attracting the Gleeks of America to FOX every Tuesday night to catch a glimpse of the latest drama at William McKinley High School, and this musical comedy TV show is now branching out from the television screen.Gleeks across the country are rejoicing this month as word of the highly-anticipated Glee Live! In Concert! Tour has spread with dates spanning the month of May. Glee Live! In Concert! will bring infamous high school characters Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron), Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer), Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale), Puck (Mark Salling), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley) to cities across Arizona, California, Illinois and New York this spring, bringing Glee fever to life like never before.
As if Glee Tour tickets aren't selling fast enough already, Glee recently scored another radiant achievement in the entertainment industry that will boost ticket sales this month. The Broadway-meets-television program has recently dabbled with studio albums in an experiment that launched records full of songs performed during episodes of Glee, and the most recent compilation, the seven-track The Power of Madonna, has officially landed.
The Power of Madonna, based off a recent Glee episode featuring music from the Material Girl's repertoire, has been a huge hit ever since its debut in late April, and its phenomenal Glee-flavored covers of Madonna songs like "Vogue," "Express Yourself" and "Like a Virgin" have helped the album triumph in the last week of April, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Glee's The Power of Madonna is expected to sell more than 100,000 copies in its first week of release, making it the first Glee album of three to reach the top of the charts. The first two Glee albums, which both feature an amalgam of songs from the first half of Glee's first season on FOX, fared well on the charts but ultimately failed to go all the way to No. 1. Glee: The Music, Volume 1 peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 upon release in November 2009, and its follow-up Glee: The Music, Volume 2 followed suit a month later, notching the No. 3 spot on the charts.
Now that Glee is taking over the airwaves in full force, the upcoming Glee Live! In Concert! Tour is expected to shine as the cast of this high school hit cross the threshold from the TV screen to the big stage. Glee has attracted an enormous fan base spanning all ages ever since its debut on FOX in the fall of 2009, and its entertaining storylines and incredible music have combined for a grand slam.
