Five Menorca resorts for your next holiday

Share: If you're starting to think about your next holiday
, whether it's later this year or even next summer, maybe it is time to explore the island of Menorca and see if it has what you're looking for. Here are five resorts that may be just your cup of tea.
CIUTADELLA
Menorca has a reputation for being a place to laze on its many beaches (which we'll come to a little later) but in the commercial centre of Ciutadella, the island has a historical, cultural and busy little hub that demands exploration. With origins tracing back to Roman Times, this west coast resort is great for strolling round and taking in the sights at a leisurely pace. It has plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as lots of small shops. Plus, it has excellent transport links to all of the island's resorts.
CALA GALDANA

Share: Surrounded by almost vertical pine clad cliffs, this near perfect horse show bat is one of the most attractive and relaxing resorts Menorca has to offer. In fact, if you're looking at a Menorca holiday brochure right now, it is likely to feature Cala Galdana on the cover. Popular with families and older couples, it has lovely clean beaches and warm shallow waters. Hotels on the top of its cliffs provide unparalleled views over one of Menorca's most stunning bays.
CALA'N BOSCH
One of Menorca's newer resorts, Cala'n Bosch is a great getaway for couples and families. At the heart of the resort is its busy marina, surrounded by lovely restaurants looking out at yachts and fellow holiday makers. Whether you want cheap and cheerful British pub grub or delicious fresh fish, there are restaurants and bars to suit every taste. It has two beaches, one a short walk from the marina and many hotels, and the other in the adjoining Son Xoriguer district.
SANTO TOMAS
For an even quieter resort, suiting families and older couples, Santo Tomas offers a gorgeous beach and delightful promenade that stretches the full length of the resort. In the evening, entertainment tends to come from the hotels - most of which are happy for holidaymakers from other accommodation to stop by and enjoy what's on offer. From Four Tops tribute acts to impressive Elvis impersonators, it's a good idea to walk around by day and see what's going to be on that evening.
CALA'N BLANES
Extremely popular among fellow Brits, this resort has many private holiday villas and self-catering apartments for you to choose from. Much of the west coast, on which Cala'n Blanes is located, is rugged with deep rocky inlets. However, it is widely regarded as having one of the best beaches in the area and is popular during the busy summer months. While not on a par with Majorca's Magluf for wild times, Cala'n Blanes is often considered one of Menorca's livelier resorts.
