Share: You may be asking yourself what films you should look out for over the coming month. Here's a list of the Top 3 upcoming movies to make your decision that little bit easier, highlighting the best movies set to be released over the Easter period.
Tomorrow, When the War Began
Something to keep the kids entertained
Film trailers for this forthcoming release have already set the blogosphere alight with hype; the film also showcases the little-known Australian movie industry in an excellent light. Without giving too much away about the plot, the movie follows a group of teenagers who return from a camping trip to find their town, and possibly their country, under siege from an invading army. The group of teens rally together and try to protect their friends and family from the ensuing terror battling against them. Packed with action and familiar television faces, this film is sure to catch your children's attention throughout the screening.
Scream 4
Something to keep you scared
Scream set a new standard when it rejuvenated the teen slasher-horror movie genre more than a decade and a half ago and its creator, Wes Craven, introduced the Ghostface killer to our cinemas. With the fourth instalment, we see the familiar faces of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette return to protect Woodsboro's teen population from its menacing villain. Early film reviews have teased audiences with the premise of being kept on the edge of their seats at all times, and no character is safe from being killed off.
Arthur
Something to make you laugh
Originally a 1981 movie starring the much loved British comedian Dudley Moore, Arthur tells the tale of a playboy heir forced into an arranged marriage, only to find himself falling in love with a common, working class girl, and threatened with losing his billion-dollar inheritance if he doesn't go ahead with the arranged wedding. This remake stars Russell Brand as the titular character alongside Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner, in what could cement his career resurrection after the unfortunate "Sachsgate" incident. The latest film news for the movie has been promisingly positive overall and its trailer definitely packs a comedic punch, showcasing what good writing and acting can do.
