An epilator is a tool for hair removal. It often fits into the middle of your hand and can be either battery or mains powered. It has got a collection of tweezer-like pieces that revolve, pulling out each hair by the root. Claim one : it stings.
The Truth : Yes, it does... For the first one or two times it's utilized by you. The advice is by exploiting it on less delicate areas ( like legs ) before moving onto more delicate areas. After you've used it 3 or four times, it is not agonizing, even on fragile areas like underarms. The secret is to epilate after a shower to promise pores are open and hair is soft. Always moisturize after epilating with an alcohol-free moisturizer. Claim two : The hair doesn't grow back for 6 weeks. The Truth : The hair you pulled out won't return for a minimum of 6 weeks.
The hair growing in the follicle next to it will. Though you will have epilated 2 days back, you'll find you've got to do it again, and again, and again because hair grows at different rates and in different follicles. Claim 3 : Saves Time The Truth : Not in my previous experiences, it does not. The tweezers don't pick up each hair, so you've got to go over the same area several times. There is always hair you miss, there's often hair that may grow the week after next in another follicle and hair grows in different directions, so you've got to epilate in different directions.
Other Truths : Your skin will chill after epilating. There'll be red spots covering the area epilated. These are due to irritation of the follicles from ripping the hairs out. You still have to moisturize after epilation to reduce irritation. Most importantly, you would like to scrub. When a new hair grows, it is finer that the one you have removed and can't break through the top layer of skin simply. Exfoliating ( ie, removing this top layer of dead epidermis cells ) will help better regrowth, dumping ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs can simply get infected, requiring antibiotics and most likely leaving wounds.
Epilators are rather inexpensive decisions to shaving ( purchasing all those razors truly adds up ) or the more permanent but seriously dear laser hair removing. The sole way to see what does it for you is to experiment.
