This article reviews a fairly new website known as eSale Club and provides an analysis of whether the website delivers what it claims to offer.
What is eSale?
eSale Club is a website that aggregates discounts from digital product vendors. Essentially the business claims to allow a customer to buy e-products at the lowest possible price. The home page of the site states that the service is offered free of charge, without rebates or any other strings attached. This review is intended to inquire into all these claims.
Can You Really Buy Digital Products at a Discount?
This appears to be the key service offered by this site. To test the veracity of this claim, I visited the site and browsed through the categories and found a cheap item I could purchase in order to conduct my test. My chosen product was an eBook. I first went to the home page of the merchant's site and found out that the price was $19.95. I then went back to eSale Club and clicked on the same item. I was surprised to find that the item actually had three discount offers. So I clicked on the one of the offers for 50% off and was directed to the Clickbank payment page. The price listed was the discount price of $9.95. I paid for the item with my Paypal account and was redirected to a download page where I downloaded the eBook.
Conclusion:
From my experience above I can conclude that the site's claim is true. You get a massive discount on many digital products.
Is It Really Free? Is There a Catch?
The second issue that I needed to verify is whether indeed the site is completely free and without strings attached as advertised on their home page. To verify this, I opened the product I had purchased to make sure that everything was intact and as described. I did not find anything to suggest there was missing content in my eBook and other materials provided. The delivered product was exactly the same as what was listed on the vendor's site.
Conclusion: There is nothing to suggest that there are strings attached and the site is indeed free. This claim by the business is therefore verified as true.
How are they able to do this?
This is the obvious and logical question that anyone would ask after examining and/or using the service offered by this company. I asked myself the same question over and over and set out to investigate with a view to shedding more light on the issue. Apparently, it appears that digital product vendors have more than one price for a product depending on a number of factors. For example, it quite common to get a prompt on a vendor's site offering a discounted price to entice you not to leave the site before making a purchase. It is also quite common to receive an offer to buy an e-product at a discounted price once you sign up for a newsletter with the merchant's site and other partner sites. It would appear that eSale Club has found a way to aggregate all these offers on one site with some clever piece of programming.
Setbacks Identified
One of the setbacks identified is that the product list has not yet expanded to include all the products listed on sites such as Clickbank and PayDotCom. Therefore, you may be able to find a product you really want to purchase. This is probably because the site is relatively new so we will be watching to see how much the product list is expanded.
Overall Opinion
