E-Learning is becoming an effective platform to impart training to students
. Research has determined that e-Learning happens to give better results than classroom teaching. E-Learning can also be more interactive and interesting than regular teaching. Not just for education and academics, e-Learning is useful and highly effective for corporate training also. We will just look at some of the advantages of e-Learning.
It would be exorbitant for companies to spend a lot on classroom training if the turnover of the staff is high and the number of staff to be trained is also high. When a high quality e-Learning module is presented, with a good amount of graphics and multimedia, it is naturally absorbing. E-Learning is also greatly useful to staff who do not have the time to go through classroom teaching.
Normally, general training, IT and relevant disciplines, security and company policies can be provided through e - Learning modules. The restriction of access to material and subject matter experts can be overcome through e - Learning.
E-learning standardizes any training program and eliminates the differences that may arise when different trainers handle the same topic.
There are some limitations in e-Learning. Computers are necessary and internet might be required for web based training. The staff undergoing the training need to have basic computer skills and should not have any aversion for computer based learning. However, when the factors favoring e-Learning are more than those against, it could be of great advantage to corporates.
