Many professionals do not have the time and liberty to sit down in a classroom and receive training. Computer based or web based e-learning modules - CBT and WBT - are of great help to such people.
When the same topic is dealt by multiple individuals, ambiguity tends to creep in. With e-Learning this aspect could be avoided. The same type of instructions would be provided for everyone who undergoes the training. And when assessments are conducted through the same media, they are standard and unbiased.
E - Learning does have some limitations like the necessity for computers and internet, requirement for the staff to be computer literate.
