Difficulties of adaptation in the students community
No doubt, time spent at campus is an important and unforgettable period in every persons life. One should catch every moment of the students life, as it will never repeat. Different types of activities are provided by the higher schools. The students can join clubs, enrichment programs, go in for sport. It is easy to find something that fits ones interest. The management of the college is interested in the students cultural development and relevant time destination.
It is up to the personal traits of character how much time the adaptation period will take. It seems that some students join the students community so easily as if they found themselves at a familiar place. At the same time other students are more introverted. It is not so easy for them to get into contact with others. From the first days at college a freshman
has to get used to the new unknown atmosphere;
take pains and work hard at class (as it is actually the primary purpose of staying at college, if I am not mistaken);
to join the students community, make friends with fellow-students.
Getting involved into the students activities
It is not an easy task to get used to everything new in life. It may happen, that not everything will proceed smoothly. Constant stress will do no good.
One should find the ways for relaxation and self-realization at the same time. Fortunately, the students clubs are available. The freshman can continue developing the talents he/she demonstrated at school or open new unexpected abilities. Drama, literature, poetry, sports clubs one can choose. Actually, the activity itself is not so important. It is much more significant to join the community, meet new people and make friends with them. It will help one to feel free at ease at campus and at class.
