. This can include dining habits and gestures, which may seem normal to you, but may insult your foreign friends. So to help you out, here is a list of important cultural habits from around the world.
Brazil
In Brazil making an "OK" sign with your fingers is offensive as it means "anus".
China

Share: In China, make sure you do not finish all of your food unless you would like more, as leaving a small amount of food on your plate signifies that you are full.
USA
In the USA, scoring a hole-in-one whilst playing golf means that you buy a round of drinks for your other players.
Japan
In Japan, scoring a hole-in-one whilst playing golf means that the other players must buy you an expensive gift.
Saudi Arabia
In Saudi Arabia it is an insult to show the bottom of your shoes.
Greece
In Greece doing a "thumbs up" sign means the same as a putting up your middle finger and so is considered very rude.
Mexico
In Mexico, placing your hands onto your hips is a sign of hostility.
Philippines
In the Philippines calling someone over with your finger is seen as an insult, as it is gesture that can only be used on dogs.

In Lebanon licking your little finger and running it across your eyebrow signals that someone is a homosexual.

In Nigeria, winking at children signifies them to leave the room
Zimbabwe
In Zimbabwe it is rude to maintain eye contact.
Australia
In Australia, turning a glass upside down and placing it squarely on the bar means that you think you can win a fight against anyone at the bar.

In Thailand it is rude to pat someone on the back.
