Compare Tv Packages Online To Find Your Tv Heaven
Share: Some people like to watch their television from their living rooms while others sit on laptops and access on demand services instead
. Not to mention that some people would rather watch sports, while others prefer movies, or documentaries... and that's without even thinking about what the kids want to watch! When you
compare tv packages online you can get a really good idea of the price and service you'll receive, but here's some advice purely focused on making sure you get a package that suits your own particular tastes.
Sports: Sports television can be some of the most exciting around, and there's nothing like inviting your friends around to watch the latest game. All the providers offer some sort of sport coverage, but the biggest sports packages can be quite expensive. Sky offers its premium sports channels through the Sky Sports Pack, which offers 115 Premier League games, UEFA, PGA Golf, NFL, Tennis and cricket matches. The Sky Sports Pack + ESPN also offers a wide range of American sports, too.
Virgin can't quite compete with that level of coverage, though their XL package includes the Eurosport Channels, ESPN and a number of specialised channels like Liverpool TV and Motors TV. BT Vision can offer the Sky Sports channels as part of the default package. Some clubs, like Man Utd and Arsenal, also offer dedicated channels, but you'll pay extra for these.
Films: Films are a big favourite for everyone, but while you can go out and buy a DVD or Bluray, or rent a movie from a store, the easiest and often cheapest way to enjoy a film is by watching it through your television subscription. Sky are a clear winner, as the Sky Movie Pack offers the widest amount of choice in the highest quality, including several HD Channels.
Sky often get premiers of the biggest blockbusters many weeks before the other television services. Virgin Media also offer some movie channels on their L and XL packages, but you can also add Sky Movies to a Virgin TV package at an additional cost. BT Vision take an on demand approach, charging around 1.99 or 2.99 for a film rental from their library.
Kids: Digital TV can offer a range of entertainment for kids far beyond what you can get on Freeview. There's a number of entertainment and educational options available. Sky offer access to 17 different children's channels on their Kids package which should appeal to just about every age from toddlers to teenagers. Virgin have the widest selection of kids channels though, with 19 available on their XL package. The next package down only offers a selection of 8, however. BT vision customers can access on demand content for kids at a price, or can opt to pay 6.85 a month to access all on demand kids content, allowing parents much greater flexibility.
