Coaching - An Idea Whose Time Has Come Part 1

If you've ever been frustrated by your business's lack of growth or lack-luster results then maybe it's time you thought outside the box

. Business Coaching has been around for many years and is a powerful strategy to help take your business results to the next level and beyond.

A coach bridges the gap between where a person or business currently is to where they want to be at a particular point in the future be it 3 months, 3 years or a decade. Not only that but it is also considered a way to fast-track personal development and improve quality of life.

Finding balance in life while gaining a greater sense of purpose, direction and meaning is the quintessential foundation and philosophy is at the heart of coaching. Not only that, but coaching also helps in the areas of relationships success, improve team performance and business sales, increasing bottom line profits, achieving personal or physical goals and just about anything you can think of in life or business that someone is looking to get better results.

Coaching is here to stay

Today coaching offers a new way to grow your business or life. As a modern approach to change, coaching has become a much more acceptable way to think about how to handle change effectively, whether the target of that change is in business or in personal life. Their are many different types of business coaches ranging from small business coaches to Executive Coaches.

In a persons private life, there are life coaches, fitness coaches, stress management coaches, wealth coaches, relationship coaches, weight loss coaches, etc.

So, what do we mean by coaching when we extend it beyond sports and fitness? How does coaching relate to the field of Business Coaching, Life Coaching, and the many of the other areas listed above? What is it that makes coaching different, useful and needed in today's world?

Coaching as a need

We live in a world of constant and never ending change that doesn't look at all like it is going to slow down anytime in the near future. This creates challenges in every area of your life from business and health to happiness and success. These days the average person spends 3 hours a day looking at a screen, be it a TV screen, computer or mobile phone. Not that many years ago the information age was only just beginning.

Businesses who resist change will get left behind, those that don't won't. Take advertising as an example. Not that many years ago if you put an add for your business in the newspaper or yellow pages you would get enquiries and make sales. These days if you don't have a website on the front page of Google your business suffers.

A Coach is someone who is highly adept at helping you or your business to stay focused and adapt with change. Helping you to make it through the growing pains of life or business change is why they do what they do. Have you ever felt like you were banging your head against the wall and getting nowhere quickly? Then a Coach is exactly the right person to help you break through those areas you are stuck in.

The next time you find yourself resisting change you'll notice because you'll be in experiencing some form of pain be it anxiety, financial or frustration at why things seem to not be working the way you want them to. When this happens, get yourself a coach!
