The Eastern Colobus is found in northern Tanzania
, central and western Kenya and Uganda. The Western Colobus is found mainly in coastal regions of Kenya and Tanzania and in south-western Uganda.They inhabit dense mountain and coastal forests, acacia woodlands and wooded savannahs. They feed mainly on fresh leaves, fruits, bark, seedpods and some insects. They are active throughout the day but will usually rest up during the hottest, midday period.Thet spend very little time on the ground ,usually making their way through the forests by leaping from tree to tree.
