. Many conferences are held at five star hotels with discounted conference rates. If one is mixing business with pleasure, this is a sure fire way to kill two birds with one stone as they say. Interestingly enough, there are also family oriented conferences that can include the entire family. Many conferences are held in Disney World in the Disney Hotel Chains.When taking the family on a "Conference" vacation it is important to make sure that the location is kid oriented. A swimming pool is a must, indoor and outdoor, in case of inclement weather. A pool can occupy a great deal of a family's time. Just make sure that they are sea worthy and have an adult with them at all time. A great video game room can keep the younger crowd occupied rain or shine. Accommodations with the best game rooms will always get thumbs up from children of all ages. Just make sure that all that shopping money doesn't get fed into the video machine! Good shopping is always a must when it comes to any type of vacation, whether it's business or pleasure.
Another great way to mix business and pleasure is to choose a location close to a super mall. Nothing says vacation like shopping until dropping! Many locations convenient for conferences also offer free transportation to malls or shopping areas. This is a plus for any vacationer. Especially if one parent is occupied with business because the other parent can easily entertain the children and all are satisfied. When the shopping starts to get boring, a careful planned business/family vacation conference trip will be located near exciting activities such as a theme park.
Many large cities where conferences are held have theme park oriented accommodations. Disney World is a great example of these types of accommodations. The rooms can be reserved that are large and children oriented. Many of these 5 star hotels offer complimentary breakfast and this is a great savings for a family of 4. Larger hotel chains also have several eating choices available right on sight. Many of these restaurants are family oriented and children are welcome.
Great vacations can be planned around work and with careful planning, the family's agenda can complement the business schedule and there will be plenty of time to make great family memories on a budget.
