Budget Hotels In Mysore Best Deal For Leisure Travelers
Share: Due to some family commitments we were not able to move out of Mumbai for the last two years
. So this summer we decided to plan a family picnic to some beautiful destination in the South. We had already visited Kerala and some part of Tamilnadu so we were concentrating on a visit to some popular place in Karnataka. From our research of a suitable destination for a family outing we were convinced to visit Mysore, the city of palaces and a great historical destination.
As we were travelling from Mumbai we were supposed to reach Bangalore and from there travel further to Mysore. After one night stay at Bangalore we headed for Mysore. In just three hours time we touched the boundaries of Mysore. We had searched online for some budget friendly hotels in Mysore which will suffice our requirements and came across different types of hotels from cheap, budget to Luxury hotels. The
budget hotels in Mysore are supposed to be the best deal for the leisure travelers.
Initially we were guessing about how could be the facilities at the hotel as we had booked it online. But upon reaching Mysore we took a sigh of relief. The location of the hotel was convenient in the center of the city. Rooms were quite spacious and nicely furnished. After arranging our belongings and freshened up we went for a dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. The menu was stuffed with many food varieties like Indian, Continental and Mysore dishes. Actually we made a mistake of booking only the accommodation at Mysore. Instead we could have gone for a total Mysore tour package which is comparatively cheaper. The only alternative with us was to talk to the help desk of the hotel. The help desk attendant was very much cooperative and helped us in getting a suitable vehicle along with a driver to go around for sight seeing. Eating out is not a big issue as the
restaurants in Mysore are spread evenly across the city serving excellent Mysore and other cuisines.
Our first stop was obviously Mysore palace. We were really surprised by the fine artwork on the palace doors and interiors. From the great architecture of the monument we guessed how lavishly the Maharajas could have spent their life in these palaces. From the architectural point of view both the exteriors as well as the interiors are excellent examples of art with intelligent use of stained glass and mirrors. From the palace we went to the next popular destination the Brindavan garden which is located on a huge piece of land near the dam. The beautifully landscaped garden has innumerable varieties of flowering plants. The major attraction well illuminated dancing fountains are highlights of this destination. From the gardens we returned back to the palace to watch the palace dazzling with beautiful lights and took some live photographs of the illuminated palace.
Share: Getting back to the hotel we ordered the tasty Mysore dishes for our dinner. The bar in the hotel inspired us to go for a few sips of some exotic liquor. Next day morning we finished with the remaining sight seeing part in and around the city and in the evening prepared ourselves to return to Mumbai.
