Such seriousness and determination led the charter manager to think about his request again.Selling plane tickets was no easy task to accomplish at first. The first few weeks led to a passenger list with only six people for the charter. Soon after, word was running on the streets and a story was published in a Sydney paper. Leading to numerous reservations for the flight from interested travelers was the story the paper released. When it comes to filling up 707 all they needed was about four hours.
The capacity of three 707s could be filled by the passengers they got in one day.After receiving countless reservations he contacted the airline and made a request for two 747s. Impressive but rather unbelievable at first was his request. The airline gave them a jumbo, it was alright.Clear weather is where Antarctica can be viewed the best and this is during November through February during summer in the Southern Hemisphere, according to the airline spokesman in Sydney.
Here there are no guarantees when it comes to viewing conditions and visibility is always in consideration of a risk basis. For a flight like this one no extra safety precautions are needed.
