2 Questions You Should Answer About Organic Lotions Before You Buy Them

Organic is all the rage these days, from organic foods to USDA certified organic skin care products

. The same goes for organic lotions and beauty products. If you are looking to buy skincare products and you are starting to think about moving over to organic lotions, there are a couple of really important questions you need to answer.

The field of organics in beauty products has expanded to a very large degree in the past decade, due in large part to the parade of studies that keep coming out detailing the increasing number of short and long term negative effects of non-organic skincare products. What does this mean for you? This means that USDA certified organic skin care products are more available and in greater diversity in product type than ever before. You can buy just about anything you want these days, from lotions to moisturizers, and know for sure that you are using the best quality skin care products you can get. But the question remains; are organic lotions the right choice for you?

When you are considering the purchase of organic lotions, here are two questions you should think about to know for sure that they are right for you. Let's look deeper.

First, and arguable most importantly, is the organic lotion you are considering purchasing really certified organic? Believe it or not, many organic beauty products, including lotions, are not really organic, even though they are labeled as being organic. What does this mean? It means you need to look for a specific label when you buy your lotion. Only USDA certified organic skin care products are truly organic and do not contain any synthetic preservatives, harsh chemicals, dyes, or animal ingredients. To be certified, these lotions have to be made of organic ingredients.

Second, you have to ask yourself what you really want from your lotions. If you want the same result that you have always gotten from your lotions, and the same result that your mother and grandmother before her, then keep buying the hormone and toxic chemical based skincare and lotion products you always have. If you want to have great health even late in life, then you have to buy only certified organic beauty and bath products. That is the only way you can be certain to escape the harsh side effects that come from normal lotions and bath products. If you make this decision, you will not regret it, and neither would your family.
