Some time ago, when the cruise industry was in its infant stages, cruise lines used this particular statement to get people to go on a cruise "just think about unpacking once". And that statement certainly drove a lot of people to go on their first cruise. Some of them are perfectly happy to use either one or different cruise lines every year for their yearly vacations. Some, though, never got the cruise bug and went back to other types of vacations, enjoying more of an active or adventurous land tour to exotic destinations.
