During one summer night two twin baby girls were mauled in their sleep by a fox which climbed in through a window that had been left open to keep their room cool during a hot summer night. The attack as prompted London Mayor Boris Johnson to come out and say that local councils should 'focus on their duties for pest control'. Although fox attacks are very rare and this is in fact the first recorded case on record in London the panic has of course made its way to Londoners. Lola and Isabella Koupparis both aged just 9 months were found covered in blood and crying upstairs in their bedroom. The fox had gone into their upstairs bedroom and attacked them in their cots in Hackney east London.The twins were then taken to the Hospital in east London after the incident on the night however Isabella was moved to Great Ormond Street Hospital further treatment.Mayor Johnson said that foxes were a pest and a menace and could in rare circumstances pose a threat to humans.
