Working Your Way Around The Mas Environment
If you are a small business on a tight budget
, getting an ERP solution that would fit your budget and you can fully utilize can be a daunting task. Fortunately, Sage took to consideration businesses that have the same features and limitations as yours when they started offering the MAS 90 and MAS 200 software solution.
Although finding your way around the MAS 90 and the MAS 200 can be relatively easy, there are still times when you might wonder whether you really are fully utilizing the power at your fingertips. Aside from this, there might also be times when you worry about the integrity of your data should you decide to upgrade your hardware or transfer to another office.
If you need to transfer your MAS 90 application to a new server, you have to copy your entire MAS 90 directory to the new one. Once you have done this, rename the Uninstall Information folder and then reinstall the system set-up, the library master, the original modules, and any third-party installations you have in your old server. Make sure that, if you have enabled the security in your original installation of MAS 90 in your old server, you would need to enable it on your new server. Map workstations and re-run workstation set-up. Keep in mind, however, that this only works for MAS 90 versions 4.0 and up. For other versions, or for MAS 200, you need to get in touch with the technical support group.
Each MAS 90 and
MAS 200 software comes with the Custom Office, an invaluable module that can help you customize your application. If you would like to share any customizations you have done to the rest of your network users, go to the customizer selection and select the application that contains the MAS 90 screen customization. Choose and assign a task ID for the customized function you want to copy. On the upper right, enter the user name and company where you want to copy the customization. This will cause the main form to be loaded and displayed. Right click on the main form and select the tab you wish to copy. Click the copy icon and then close and save.
If you are working on your
MAS 90 Accounting software and you find your print checking interrupted, all you have to do is use the MAS 90 File-Run menu. Once the program name dialog box pops up, type in GLWSKA. You would then need to enter the correct bank code before you can proceed.
Keep in mind, however, that if you are not familiar with how the MAS 90 and MAS 200 software works, it is better to leave any customization or troubleshooting with people who have more knowledge in the said area.
