College life is full of temptation. Students need money to pay for their education, living essentials and entertainment. Budgeting ones money may appear to be difficult or almost overwhelming task for young people. Some of them are dependent on their parents and do not look for opportunities for improvement of their living standards. Others realize the importance of financial independence presupposing the opportunity to make self-reliant decisions.
Changing ones attitude to money
Making at least a small contribution to their budget, students change their attitude to money. In an old tale a father asked his good-for-nothing son to start working. A mother cared about her child and gave him a coin which he could show to the father. The father threw the coin into the fire, the son did not touch it and the parent did not believe him. Only after the young man earned some money and father threw it into the fire as well, the son was not afraid of fire and took a coin from it. Then father believed his child, because people start rating money at its true value only after working hard to earn it.
Opportunities to make a career
Looking for part-time jobs most students are aimed at improving their living standards. Still, some companies provide opportunities for further professional and career growth. They appreciate students studies and promise promotion after receiving a degree. It is preferable to look for a part-time job in the sphere related to ones profession. Then it might be helpful for enhancing ones proficiency. Practical skills developed at work will enhance the effectiveness of studies. The theoretical knowledge acquired at college might b implemented at work.

you will have enough time for your studies;
the company will appreciate your professional growth;
you will have opportunities for making a career.
