Many webmasters will be clenching their fists at this point because blogs were such a great new thing that the market was saturated in no time and blogging lost its value to a degree.Since everyone was now able to make their own blogs and have it up and ready within 5 minutes people rapidly learnt how to use the basic functions and therefore became competitors against many profit seeking blog makers, this of course did not go down well. However this lead to further development (along side with Googles developments) of SEO or search engine optimisation, the art of increasing the ranking of your blog for chosen keywords on major search engines such as Google, Live, Yahoo, Ask and all those other search engines.
SEO and marketing has become the new big thing in blogging since the market became so saturated, there are always and will always be multiple websites and blogs in competition to you therefore the cheapest way to bring visitors toy our blog is by SEO but that takes times therefore outsourcing marketing or advertising with PPC schemes has now become the new thing.
Many major bloggers use other blogger sites to advertise their main site such as choseit.com, live journal, blogspot and wordpress. This is beneficial as it increases backlinks to the owners main site and creates content that is related to the content on the main site, thus increasing traffic, PR and search engine rankings.
The other use for free sub domain blogs is to be used as a base for freelance writers to publish their content to use to show potential customers, wow visitors and to increase their personal writing skills without they themselves incurring any costs.
Using these free blog platforms has also opened up many doors to stay at home parents, students, children as a way of expressing themselves via the internet, much like people who enjoy listening to types of music to calm themselves down. Second to this it as also enabled the same groups of people to generate a small income from advertisements placed on their blogs.
Using advertisements on blogs has become the new it thing in generating revenue with many bloggers now monetising their blogs to make money, using CPM advertisements as well as PPC and PPP (pay per post).
Either way it looks like blogging is the new way forward if your are new to the internet scene, look out for free blog platforms like choseit, that do not use advertisements on their free sub domain blogs or give any extra costs.
