Twitter- Can it Help My Business?

Have you heard of Twitter? This up and coming social networking tool is quickly becoming all the rage for both businesses and people

. While this tool is relatively new, it is still powerful and is one of the top forms of Internet communication out there right now. Some believe that every business should have a Twitter and that they must actively update it. Others aren't as sure. Which is really the case? Does your business need Twitter?

Your business will determine if you need Twitter. Not all businesses need something like this, or will even benefit from it. Think about your business. Do you need social networking? For some businesses, this can really help them grow, but for others it is just an unnecessary distraction from the important business matters at hand.

If you don't want to use social networking for your business, it isn't always the only option. Your clients do want to be able to find your company on the Internet. However, social networking isn't your only option. Social networking can take a lot of time and energy to maintain, especially if you want a vibrant and active profile on your accounts. For small businesses with limited staff, it might not be possible. Think about your business and your needs to make your own unique decision about social networking and Twitter.

You should make your final decision based on how much time you have to dedicate to social networking as well as the type of business that you run. If you only have a little time to dedicate to social networking, it might be in your best interest to build up a strong presence on one site, rather than spreading yourself thinly across many.

Your time is valuable as an entrepreneur. Choosing China manufacturers, hiring employees and managing daily operations is a full time job in and of itself. Don't overextend yourself by trying to get involved in social networking if you don't have the time or the resources. You need to think about your unique situation to be able to accurately make a decision about whether or not Twitter is right for you.
