The above steps aren't complicated. Here's a breakdown of how to use them.
Buy a domain name that relates to your topic. That will help you attract visitors through the search engines. Subscribe to an autoresponder service, such as Aweber or GetResponse. Build a simple Webpage, known as a "squeeze page" that lets your visitors add their name and e-mail addresses. The page need not be complicated; a few sentences that tells them what you are giving them in exchage for their e-mail address will do. If you cannot create a Web page, you can hire someone at Elance.com or Scriptlance.com to do it for a modest amount of money.
Your autoresponder can provide you with a form to include on your Web page to collect the e-mail address and names of your subscribers. Creating the form takes but a few minutes.
Find a free ebook to give away that's related to your topic. A simple Google search for the name of the topic plus "ebook giveaway rights" will probably turn up lots of suitable books that you can give away.
Set up your autoresponder to send messages out on a daily or weekly basis. Don't send a barrage of sales pitches; a mixture of tips, helpful hints, and useful information about your topic, mixed in with occasional moneymaking offers works best.
That's all there is to it. There are marketers out there who have mailing lists with hundreds of thousands of names on it. The bigger your list, the easier it is to make money. The steps listed above are easily repeatable, too, so instead of just creating one list, you can create dozens or even hundreds of them, each devoted to a different topic. It all adds up over time and the more names you have, the greater your online moneymaking opportunities.
